Golden Child

4.30, after field trip to TTDI plaza, went to Brian’s house to bathe, then Kaijie, Thamz and both of us left KL with our KFC meals as well as few cans of Pepsi Twist.

It was raining so heavily. Brian nearly hit on other’s rear few times.

He was too stubborn not to listen our advice to drive slower.

Went to Afamosa with a group of kids from 2 different hospital. There were 30 of them, victims of blood cancer, Leukemia. I could not judge some of their ages by their appearance. There’s this Indian boy named Karthik who look like 8-9 years old, but he’s actually 14. I didn’t know what to say when I was told about that. They seemed happy on their faces, but deep down there, we can tell they really need supports from everyone of us. The ones who suffer most are none other than the patient’s family. It was pleasing to see when the kids enjoyed themselves during the day at the Safari. Unfortunately, some couldn’t continue after lunch as they got tired easily. So, we rotaractors guided them around the place, from bird show to the animal show and next the wild wild west show. Can you believe Afamosa is cheap enough to hire just ONE emcee for FEW shows/events? We could recognise him so well because the way he talks annoys us and we can’t hear shit from him.

AQ, I riding on you =D

At night, there were lots of “light bugs”, I do not know what you call that, but they fly around lights only. Those damn bugs came in the banglows through the gaps in between the sliding doors and windows. Its damn shit scary as it gives you a feeling that you’ve been surrounded by some damn bugs, and unable to escape.

So we had a cleaner to take care that for us..

The last night was memorable. As some of the parents say a few words about the camp and how they feel bout it, few Rtn’s wife cried. It was rather touchy. “hope all of the children here will recover soon, and will all fight together to get through this.” It really felt good when you do a good deed. a quote from rtn, “when you look at the problems they’re facing, problems to you in life are never problems anymore”
